This grant will support COVID testing for third- and fourth-year students at EARTH University that are preparing for internships in locations around the world.
This grant contributes to the EARTH Scholarship Fund (ESF), a pooled fund at EARTH University that provides scholarships to promising young people primarily from Latin America who have the drive, skills, and passion that mark a future agent of change. The ESF helps ensure that exceptional young people are able to access an EARTH education, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable, just, global society.
This grant was requested by Marty Fluharty, Americana's past Executive Director, as part of a grant allocation that the Board of Trustees awarded in honor of her retirement in 2018. Marty chose EARTH as a recipient of this grant due to her deep commitment to EARTH's mission over many years.
To complete the funding of a $500,000 endowed scholarship fund that provides scholarships to deserving undergraduate students in EARTH University’s entrepreneurial leadership program.
To create a permanent Student Solidarity Fund managed by Earth University’s Student Affairs Department that will provide zero interest loans for students to help with vision, dental, or other emergency costs.
